MOSCOT unfolds a new chapter in its storied history this Spring. Step inside the creative studio of Zack Moscot, the family's fifth generation and brand's first Chief Design Officer; uncover the unique process behind collections Designed by MOSCOT and celebrate 110 years of expertise and unparalleled craftsmanship. It is here, in the heart of New York City, where Zack meticulously crafts each frame with a blend of heritage and forward-thinking design.

From his drawing board, Zack delves into the Moscot family archives, where decades of classic styles await reimagining. Detailed sketches that progress to precise digital drawings capture every detail from hardware to color. Under his supervision, premium materials are shaped and refined through multiple iterations to meet high design, ergonomic, and quality standards. Collaborating with his father, Dr. Harvey Moscot, they ensure each frame merges fashion with optimal functionality. The final step: every piece is meticulously finished and marked with the iconic pushcart logo, a tribute to the humble roots and enduring legacy of MOSCOT, and the city that inspired it.
“As a fifth generation Moscot entering our 110th year in business, I aim to honor our past – and downtown DNA – while pushing MOSCOT into the future.” - Zack Moscot
This
collection introduces five new eye-cons - intertwined stories of MOSCOT and New York City's rich history.
Sol (2nd Generation) used to sneak out for lunch at Ratners, where its manager Abe meticulously reviewed each customer’s receipt. A nod to the famed eatery’s specialty and Abe’s specs, The KUGEL combines tasteful metal edges and delightful acetate curves, bringing a whole new flavor to the Lower East Side.
When it came to a deal, Great Uncle Zulu Pushkin knew how to smooth over a dispute or two. After all, he was a runner for a famed New York bookie (shh!). We honor his legacy, razor-sharp wit, and street-smarts with The MEKLER, a bold frame that refuses to settle for less.
Everyone’s heard of Sol’s friend Benny – chewing everyone’s ear off with stories they simply couldn’t escape. You’d bump into him on the street and end up captivated for hours. Loud, proud, and slightly crazy in all the right ways, The MINGLE does all the talkin’ for ya!
Tony, the porter, ran all kinds of errands around town for Sol. Weaving between traffic and pedestrians on his bicycle, his perfectly circular specs with acetate cable temples that wrapped around the ears never SCOOCH’d off his face!
On any given day, Simon, President of the Lower East Side Merchants Association (LESMA), would be outside Katz’s smooth talkin’ with the best of the locals. Like his slick moves and rectangular metal frame, The SHMOOZ ensures effortless, unparalleled style.
