A friendly optician from the original Orchard Street Shop, it was always Seymour’s mission to provide the proper fitting frame on even the smallest of punims…his name was ‘see more,’ after all! Close friends and family nicknamed Grandpa Sol, Zilch, which we are absolutely certain they meant ironically since Grandpa Sol was anything and everything but zero, nada, or zip. Or they were mean. Either way, we love this new frame and Grandpa Sol. Made from acetate with column rivets on the front and temples, a key hole bridge, and a real five barrel hinge.

Back in the days of yore, when the Lower East Side was more rough and tumble than cocktails and tapas, MOSCOT's resident optometrist, Dr. Richard Fleisig, aka "Dr. Zetz," did double duty: provided excellent eye care to patients, and punched (hence his moniker) bad guys, tasks that were (almost always) mutually exclusive. Like Dr. Zetz, this strong, sturdy frame is a knockout.
