EYEWEAR

How do I know which size to order?

Sizing largely depends on your individual facial features and head size, as well as your personal style. The majority of MOSCOT wearers will fall into our “Average” size range. For more information about sizing read about our Style & Fit.

How can I try your frames on?

Visit a MOSCOT Shop or one of our authorized MOSCOT Stockists. Find the closest one to you here. Be sure to look out for the MOSCOT Authorized Stockist Badge! We also offer Virtual Try On for a handful of our most popular styles.

Do your sunglasses provide UV protection?

MOSCOT’s sunglass lenses provide optimal protection against UV radiation (harmful rays from the sun).

Why does the item I received look different than the one I ordered through MOSCOT.COM?

Our acetate frames are custom crafted resulting in unique patterns distinctive to each product. In certain acetate colorways, the frame you receive may not look identical to the frame pictured online because of the unique nature of the custom crafted acetate used in each frame.

Are the products on MOSCOT.COM the same as in MOSCOT Shops?

Available assortments may vary on MOSCOT.COM, in MOSCOT Shops and in Authorized MOSCOT Stockists. If you have a question regarding a frame you are unable to find on MOSCOT.COM please e-mail support@moscot.com or call us at 1-866-667-2687.

How can I find out when new products are available on MOSCOT.COM?

Join the MOSCOT Family and sign up for our newsletter here to stay up to date on all things MOSCOT, or follow us on Instagram and Facebook!

The frame I’m looking for is out of stock. When will it be available again?

If the frame you’re looking for is out of stock, please sign up for out-of-stock notifications on the product page. After you select the size you would like, the out-of-stock field will appear. Please enter your email address and we’ll notify you when the frame is back in stock.

I have a nickel allergy. What type of frame should I buy?

If you have a nickel allergy we recommend choosing an acetate frame from our Originals Collection. Shop them here.

Where are your frames made?

Designed and prototyped in New York City by 5th Generation family member, Zack Moscot, all MOSCOT Eyewear is handmade, using the highest quality materials, real hardware, and hinges that are riveted through the temple and frame fronts to ensure the sturdiest construction possible. On average, a MOSCOT frame requires approximately 130+ steps until completion and is expertly crafted in our factory in China that has been a part of the family for nearly 50 years! Our prescription lenses are fabricated in our NYC Laboratory before we dispense them to you.

Where are your prescription lenses made?

In our very own state-of-the-art lens manufacturing facility, MOSCOT fabricates all prescription lenses in-house in its New York Laboratory. To learn more click here.

Can you put lenses in frames I already own?

Yes! We will happily fabricate lenses for frames you already own in any of our MOSCOT New York City shops.  Of course we work very carefully, but this is done at your own risk and service fees may apply.

How does MOSCOT’s Virtual Try-On work?

Our 3D viewer and Virtual Try-On capabilities are fully functional on desktop devices using Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Apple Safari, Firefox, and Sogou and on all mobile devices using Google Chrome and Apple Safari (please do ensure your camera is enabled and your browser is updated to the latest version!). On mobile devices, the Virtual Try-On camera performs best on Apple iOS 11 or higher and Android 6.0 or higher.

CARE & USE

How do I clean my glasses?

For a quick clean, blow loose particles off your frames first, and then clean with the MOSCOT CHAMOIS provided with your glasses. We conveniently sell these as a three-pack for your office, home and everywhere in-between!

For a deep clean, add a drop of liquid dish soap (moisturizer-free) to a bowl of water big enough to submerge your frames. Soak for a few minutes, then wipe clean with a premium paper towel or a soft cloth.

On the rare occasion when you aren’t actually wearing your MOSCOT Eyewear, please store in its protective case to avoid damage or exposure to direct sunlight. Lenses are scratch resistant, but not scratch proof, so treat your frame gingerly. Follow this mantra: If not on your face, keep in the case!

Are your doctors licensed?

Yes, all of our doctors are Therapeutic Licensed Doctors of Optometry in New York State, with privileges to prescribe prescription eye drops.

How long does an eye exam take?

The length of an eye exam depends on the type of exam, and whether or not your eyes are dilated. Please e-mail support@moscot.com or call us at 1-866-667-2687

Do I need an appointment?

Yes, appointments are strongly encouraged. However, we will take walk-ins if the schedule allows, or if you have an emergency.

Do you accept FSA and HSA?

You may use your FSA (Flexible Spending Account) or HSA (Health Savings Account) cards to make online purchases towards prescription glasses.

How do I make an appointment?

To schedule an appointment, you may click here, e-mail support@moscot.com or call us at 1-866-667-2687.

Do I have to return for a Contact Lens Follow-Up Exam?

We strongly recommend you return for a follow-up exam because improperly fitting lenses may feel ok to the wearer, but can cause long-term ocular issues and problems. A follow–up exam ensures you have the most comfortable, best fitting, and healthiest lenses available specifically for your eyes. A follow-up exam is mandatory for first time contact lens patients.

How often should I have Comprehensive Eye Exam? What about a Contact Lens Exam?

In general we recommend a Comprehensive Eye Exam every 12 – 24 months. However, depending on your situation (e.g. family history of eye disease, past history of problems, etc.), and/or if you wear eyeglasses, and/or if you are over the age of 40, we recommend a Comprehensive Eye Exam every 12 months. Contact lenses wearers should have a Contact Lens Exam every year.
